Our courses are registered with the Natural Healers Association of South Africa.
The Natural Healers Association is affiliated to and will be incorporated into the ASCHP (Ref: Association for Supportive Counsellors and Holistic Practitioners website) where prospective health care workers and counsellors may now register in various designations (see below). This transition has become necessary due to the pressure of government and the NQF legislation (Act 67 of 2008) for all health workers to be legally covered and professionally recognized by a recognized body with registered designations.
We are glad to inform you that the ASCHP – Association for Supportive Counsellors and Holistic Practitioners is a SAQA recognized body (SAQA ID 984). This body provides, as the name indicates, for counsellors as well as health care practitioners over a wide spectrum of modalities and a broad scope of practice. This takes occupational recognition and professional status to a new level because, for the first time, it provides for a QCTO recognized occupation in SA under the all-encompassing common denominator of Wellness. As you will know, wellness promotion forms part of the World Health Organization policies that defines health as a positive state of mental, emotional, social, physical and spiritual wellbeing.
